Fly rod building has been a Keuling family business since 1918. For more than one hundred years three generations of Keulings have embraced the "Old School" methods of craftsmanship to create some of the finest bamboo, fiberglass and carbon fiber fly rods. Keuling fly rods are designed, handcrafted and assembled in the USA utilizing premium rod blanks and the finest components available.

In 1975 Edgar Keuling III took charge of the Keuling family rod business and incorporated it in Ohio. Out of a small shop in Cleveland he started a new line of bamboo ,fiberglass and carbon fiber fly rods. His goal was as it is today; to make high quality fly rods backed by excellent hands-on customer service and sell them at a fair price. Take the time to review the website. It is packed with information about the company, its founder and the fly rods it produces. You will see why the "Keuling" fly rod is considered by many to be among the best.

" With art, the quality is in the eyes of the beholder. With fly rods, it's in the hands of the angler." "Rodsmiths do not just build a fly rod, they create an art form and it has a soul."
Keuling III
"Manufacturing fly rods through a production line is about the money. Building one fly rod at a time with passion and a quest for perfection is about the art." Keuling III
